The Soko project has helped over 1300 independent craftsmen transform their mobile phones into business tools, enabling artisan communities in the developing world to not only participate, but also to compete in the challenging world of fashion. On average, artisans’ income increases five-fold by working with Soko.

Originally founded in Nairobi (Kenya) by three women – Gwendolyn Floyd, Catherine Mahugu and Ella Peinovich – Soko relocated to San Francisco (U.S.A.) in 2015 due to its worldwide success.
